Tucked away in the small college town of Starkville, Mississippi, a dynamic group of 19 live-music-loving, show-going, proactive students make up the entertainment group known as Music Maker Productions. We are dedicated to planning, promoting, and producing the best entertainment available at Mississippi State University.
For decades, the Music Makers have brought such famous acts as Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks, Willie Nelson, Widespread Panic, Goo Goo Dolls, Tina Turner and Counting Crows to the Mississippi State campus. MMP has garnered the respect of the music industry through professionalism and years of experience.
Our members range from freshman to fifth (or even sixth) year seniors and a graduate assistant. This group thrives on its diversity and that’s something we’re very proud of. There’s no two of us alike and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. The most important thing we share is our commitment to our audience. Mississippi State is the home to the best students in the country and they deserve the best of everything. Whether it’s hardcore metal, country, hip-hop, electro, contemporary Christian, old-time folk, indie rock, or top 40s pop, we’re listening to the music and we’re listening to you.
